Lived and worked mainly in The Hague, where he was a member of the Hague Art Circle. Painted landscapes, figures, city and seascapes and beach scenes with people and animals. He was also a talented artist. In particular colored Scheveningen beach views are highly sought.

Hermanus Antonius (Henri) Daalhoff (Haarlem, 30 December 1867 to 25 November 1953) was a Dutch painter. He was self-taught. He painted mostly still lifes and buildings (farms) and landscapes.
His work is represented in several Dutch museums, including the Hague Municipal Museum and the Kröller-Müller Museum.
Daalhof was born in Haarlem. At 17 he moved to Leiden, where in his spare time he began painting. At 22 he went to work as a baker in Amsterdam, among others. He lived and worked mostly in The Hague. Is self-selected but underwent strong influence in his early period from HP Bremmer. Painted for him in a specific fuzzy pointillist style, still lifes, cityscapes, but mostly landscapes and farms.
Actually, Van Daalhof never really painted the world in which he was born, or the world that he was born. He was a singular artist. He has an innocent, unadorned manner created a production that demonstrates a genuine vocation. Work of a tranquil, poetic atmosphere.
It s ymbolisme Van Daalhoff has a strong bond with symbols and themes as fatal and innocent woman, the anarchy and labor. But pristine landscapes are subjects that can be found.
In the biography Daalhoff by Annelies Lincewicz (Leiden, 1990) about the nature of the work of Daalhoff reported: Striking in the art of Daalhoff is the use of delicate, warm colors, soft smooth, blurred, often sharply defined shapes, quiet wavy lines and the avoidance of strong chiaroscuro. With these stylistic devices know the artist a silent dream, poetic mood to call. The composition, often made up of many simple and horizontals and verticals, will contribute to creating an atmosphere of peaceful silence “

Josiah Wedgwood was born into a family of potters on 12 July 1730, at Burslem, Staffordshire. His father’s death in 1739 led him to an early start working as a ‘thrower’ in the pottery of his eldest brother, Thomas, to whom he was later apprenticed. An attack of smallpox seriously weakened Josiah, and in 1768 he had to have his right leg amputated. This meant he was forced to abandon throwing, but he subsequently gained a wider insight into the potter’s craft – for example the work of the ‘modeller’ – and this encouraged his love of experimentation. When Wedgwood died on 3rd January 1795 he left a thriving business and a fortune to his children.

Gorgeous Chinese ceramic pillows, Ching Dynasty, c. 1900. Antique pillow with roaster and dragon. Beautiful, rich color and graceful, striking form. Fabulous nuance of shading and color variation in the eye-catching glazing. A substantial display piece, ideal in any interior. Very good condition. Chinese people used to put money or other valuables in their pillow. The circle hole is a sing for luck.

The movement and the percussion work properly, it has been cleaned and oiled. It proposes the half hour and full hour, a blow Cathedral (4x clock at 4, by 5 clock 5x, etc.). The key is there and the housing is lacking in almost perfect condition.

A Nice wood carved front shows a lady holding a shield with the sign off the russian Tsaar Family the Romanovs.  Made in Vienna 1890, when you open the book a music tune starts. The book is full with old photo’s
